CONSULTING

For local businesses and nonprofits who know where they want to go. I help figure out what's actually in the way, then build the systems to get past it. Marketing, customer and community experience, and the operations underneath both.

Big goals, broken into

real steps.

HOW I THINK

Everything Connects

A goal like "grow the business" isn't a plan. It's a pile of smaller questions, and they all touch each other. Here's what that looks like in practice.

The big goal

"We want more regulars."

Found

How do new people find you?

Google profile, website, word of mouth. Which one's pulling weight?

First visit

What happens the first time?

Does the experience match what they were promised online?

Follow up

Do you ever talk to them again?

No email list, no follow up, no reason to come back.

Repeat

What's the system?

Something that runs every week without you remembering to do it.

Fix one piece and the rest gets easier. Skip one and the others leak.

The big goal

"We need more volunteers and donors."

Story

Is the mission easy to share?

Can a supporter explain what you do in one sentence?

How hard is it to say yes?

Volunteer forms, donate buttons, and events that actually work on a phone.

Welcome

What happens after they join?

A thank you, a first step, and a reason to stay involved.

Retain

Who keeps them coming back?

Updates and impact stories on a schedule, not only when someone has time.

Small teams can't run on heroics. The right systems give your people their time back.

Distill The Goal

Turn the big picture into the next few moves, in the right order, so you always know what to work on this week.

Find the gaps

Spot where things are stitched together by hand, where handoffs get dropped, and where tools aren't talking to each other.

Challenge the status quo

"We've always done it this way" is usually where growth stalls. I'll ask the questions nobody inside the business has time to ask.

WHO I WORK WITH

Main Street & Mission Driven

Big-company thinking, sized for small teams. Most of the businesses and nonprofits I work with don't have a marketing department. That's the point.

Local businesses

Shops, restaurants, and service businesses where the owner is also the marketer.

  • Getting found by people nearby, on Google and in AI search
  • Turning first-time customers into regulars
  • Promotions and specials planned ahead, not the night before
  • Simple systems that run without you babysitting them
  • And More

Nonprofits

Small teams and volunteer boards doing a lot with very little.

  • Telling your story so supporters can share it
  • Volunteer and donor journeys that don't drop people
  • Events and campaigns with a repeatable playbook
  • Freeing up staff time so it goes back to the mission
  • Creating deeper relationships with clients & community
  • And More

WHERE THIS COMES FROM

Built, migrated, and scaled.

Before newmyer.co, I started in the aisles, doing field marketing for a power tool brand across 10 storefronts. Then I moved to the RYOBI digital team, where I scaled the email program and helped launch the brand on TikTok. After that, I spent four years running marketing operations at a B2B tech firm. Where today, I help lead brand at a global tech company.

SYSTEMS

Repeatable frameworks for events, email, and campaigns used across every business unit. Project workflows that tracked timelines and budgets in one place.

CUSTOMERS & COMMUNITY

Field marketing across 10 storefronts, years on a retail sales floor, and university admissions work guiding families one conversation at a time. I know what the people side actually feels like.

TODAY

By day I build content systems and AI workflows for a global tech company. Same instinct, bigger scale.

GOOD FIT

This is for you if…

You don't need a big agency. You need someone local who gets how the pieces connect and will tell you the truth.

You run a local business or nonprofit and know where you want to go, but not what to do next.

You or your team repeat the same manual work every week.

Marketing or fundraising feels random instead of planned.

You want an outside set of eyes that won't just agree with you.

Let's talk

WHY THE WEBSITE GUY?

The website is rarely the whole problem.

Building sites is what I do on the side. But most businesses that need a better website also need a clearer plan behind it. Consulting is where I get to bring everything else I know to the table, for the businesses and causes in my own backyard.
